The Diamond Isle

The Perfect antidote to city stresses without the hassle of air travel.

The Isle of Wight is a magnificent Island separated from mainland England by as little as 3 miles of water.

England's diamond-shaped 'Garden Isle' is one of the sunniest parts of the country and and over half the Island is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the perfect antidote to city stresses without the hassle of air travel.

Within its 23 by 13 mile span the Isle of Wight boasts a great variety of attractions with something to suit everyone. Historic buildings such as Queen Victoria's country residence of Osborne House; manor houses with vineyards; animal sanctuaries and theme parks, wildlife centres, tenpin bowling.  Award-winning beaches, spectacular scenery, and countless activities and attractions.  There are 500 miles of public footpaths and bridleways to explore. And nautical mile after nautical mile of glorious Heritage Coast.

The Island has retained its unique charm & beauty with Shanklin being one of the most visited seaside resorts on the Island.
Shanklin was made popular in the nineteenth century and still maintains a Victorian charm.

Shanklin itself comprises the Old Village famous for the picturesque thatch-roofed inns, tea rooms, bars and restaurants - and the modern amenities of the rest of the town.
Local attractions include two theatres and scenic walks over the Downs and along the cliff path. The wooded Chine leads down to the sea where the Island's longest bay has a safe sandy Blue Flag beach, ideal for sunbathing, swimming, canoeing and windsurfing

Nobody comes here once!  There is something about this island that draws people back again and again.
